What The Duck!?

What The Duck is one of my favorite online comic strips - it’s all about photography! If you’re not a photographer, you may not find any of these at all funny - but I love ‘em!

*NEW* Canvas Prints

A lot of my clients have asked if I can do large canvas prints of their wedding photos. Up until now I haven’t been happy with the quality or price of the various suppliers I have tried and I’m a strong believer in only offering products of the highest quality. To cut a long story short, a friend put me in touch with an excellent company who specialises in canvas prints and I sent them through a file to see what they could do. I received the canvas today and was stoked with how it turned out, so stoked that I decided to blog about it!

I even took a few pics of it:

The shots above show a canvas which is 15″ X 24″ (38cm X 61cm). They come fully stretched and ready to hang and are applied with a special coating which ensures the print stays clear and bright for as long as you care to look at it!

I’m still working out all the pricing details, but I’ll keep you posted!

Alex & Ebeny

We woke up bright and early this morning for the drive up the coast to share Alex and Ebeny’s big day. Perfect weather, an amazing location and great bunch of people made for a sensational wedding celebration and we had a ball capturing it! The ceremony and reception took place at the renowned Avalon Coastal Retreat which is a luxury glass structured house which looks out over the beach and ocean below.

All the best for your new married life together, Alex and Ebeny and enjoy your well deserved honeymoon in Thailand!

We captured some great photos, and as always, we’ll share a few of our favorites! That’s all the words I can muster tonight - it’s way past my bedtime.

Weekend with Jason Cole

I had the absolute privilege of assisting Jason Cole on a wedding last weekend. Jason is a fantastic photographer based in Wollongong NSW and I had a great time picking his brains about all things photography over an action packed weekend. His body of work speaks for itself and he’s not only kicking big goals in the wedding photography industry, he’s also a highly respected and accomplished fashion/glamour shooter and is regularly featured in magazines such as Ralph and FHM.
One of the keys to Jason’s success is his mastery of Broncolor Mobile Lighting. Jason is able to capture rich, vivid colours and create amazing portraits which are actually quite breathtaking. I was lucky enough to see dozens of his huge prints (20″ x 30″) and viewing the images online really doesn’t do them justice - you’ve got to see them in the flesh to appreciate them fully. If you’re a Wollongong resident looking for a wedding photographer - make sure you meet with Jason!

Here’s a few shots from the wedding we shot. I can’t take credit for any of these shots - they’re all Jason’s work.
