After our shoot with Julie this morning, we hooked up with Craig, another studio e model and headed into one of my favorite spots in the city for a portfolio building session. It was short and sharp, but we captured some great shots, here’s a little sample.
This morning we caught up with Julie from studio e modelling agency to do some portfolio work. We experimented with a few different looks and locations and Julie was very brave in the freezing cold winter air!

So I know lots of you guys and girls have been waiting to see our AsukaBook sample albums… I am pleased to announce that the wait is over! The first of our samples has arrived and it looks amazing! Our awesome 10×10 inch sample book is now available for viewing, so all you brides-to-be that were anxiously waiting to see exactly what I was talking about should probably give me a call to arrange a time to drop into the studio and have a little peek at it.
We also have a cute little 5×5 inch book that is for brides-only. Give me a call if you’re curious. 
The quality of the book is simply stunning. It comes in it’s own hard cover presentation box, complete with silver foil stamping, features a removable dust jacket and all the internal pages have been matte laminated for super durability. I’m really pumped about this product! 
Predictably, I’ve taken some photos, but they don’t do it justice. You have to touch and feel this book to really appreciate it.
I took some time today to go out into the cold and rain and shoot some gritty textures to keep on file. I want to start to incorporate some of these type of textures into my personal photography projects. I’ve seen it done by other photographers and if you can get the balance right you can wind up with some really amazing artworks.
I threw this one together as a bit of a trial:
And here’s a bit of a different take on a bridal portrait… Not the most traditional wedding photo in the world, but there’s something about it that really works for me.
Pitbull Mansion is your friend. The uniquely named online clothing store features independent directional Aussie fashion labels and spreads the fashion love all across the globe. It’s pretty much the best online clothing store I’ve ever owned.
Last night we had the privilege of working together with TasCAHRD and Studio E Modelling to present a funked up fashion parade at the annual Queens Ball at Curly’s Bar in Hobart. The place was packed and the punters seemed to love the show, so all in all a great night!
I did manage to take a few snaps, but there was barely enough room to breathe, let alone swing a camera around, so please don’t hold these against me if you’re thinking of booking me for your wedding. Unless you’re planning to get married in a packed nightclub… Having said that, if you are planning to get married in a packed nightclub, book me anyway - that sounds like fun.
