First up, a huge apology for my lack of recent blog posts. We’ve had heaps on the go lately, so unfortunately the blog is sometimes the first duty which suffers. Now that I’ve apologised and you’ve all forgiven me, let’s get all updated on all the weird and wonderful happenings in this crazy world in which we exist.
I don’t often post other people’s photos on this blog, but in this case I thought I would make an exception.

Yes, it’s true. We are continually expanding our business operations and figured that kids are cheap workers!
But seriously, we’re absolutely stoked that we’ve been blessed with a little one. We’ve affectionately named our baby ‘DJ’ for the duration of his/her time in the womb. So if you see any future references to DJ, you’ll know what that’s all about. DJ stands for ‘Daniel Junior’, in case you’re wondering… There’s no way I would do that to a kid post-womb, but whilst it’s tucked safely away in Chon’s belly, no harm done.
We should probably make ‘DJ’ interchangeable with ‘CJ’ so we don’t give our baby an identity crisis in utero.
Exciting times ahead, I’m sure. I have already started to pro actively make a conscious effort to enjoy my weekend sleep-ins as much as humanly possible. Evidently this weekly ritual comes to an abrupt end in the not too distant future.
DJ is due to breath fresh Tasmanian air for the first time late February 2008. We’ll keep you posted.
So what else has been happening?
I’m glad you asked! In a word, stacks. We’ve recently acquired some new space for our premises (right next door) so the Dan Cripps Photography will be moving (all of 10 metres) in the coming weeks. The new space will free us up to have a dedicated indoor shooting space as well as a separate meeting area, complete with brand new 50″ plasma TV where all my clients can view their photos whilst enjoying a hot drink and popcorn. Fun!
We’re also about to launch our brand new online shopping cart where all your friends and family can easily order as many of your wedding photos as they want, without bothering you! We look after you, eh!?
The cart is super easy to use and allows you all the freedom you need to make your purchases. You simply browse the photos, choose the ones you want, how big you want them, what processing you like and where you would like them sent. The credit card payment is processed and we ship your order to you within a week or two. How easy is that?
We’ve got some cool portrait sessions in the coming weeks, so stay tuned to the blog for some samples!
