Some shots from a recent and very special wedding.
My little brother and his gorgeous new wife! *wipes tears*
I traveled up to QLD for the big day, and here’s a few shots from the day…

First up, thanks for checking out my blog! I'm a full time professional photographer based in Hobart, Tasmania. For the benefit of my international visitors, Tasmania is a small island state off the South East coast of Australia ;) Now that the geography lesson is over, make sure you have a good wander around the site, check out what I've been up to and make sure you leave a comment if something catches your eye. I always enjoy feedback from my readers. Don't be shy.
This is the place where you will find all the random happenings that occupy my working life from day to day. This blog is a journal and a creative outlet. I regularly post up examples of my current projects so check back regularly to see what I've been up to.
Once again, thanks for stopping by - make sure you come back again soon!

You can tell how long it’s been since I blogged by looking at the weather in the following shots. You’ll see a few shots from a fun family shoot at the beach.

The time has come to apologise for my gross blog negligence.
A combination of travel, illness, business and a very cute baby have all combined to render me unable to do the blog thing properly over the last few months. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this has cause my loyal readership (if there’s any left).
I’ve got stacks of stuff to get up on the blog and I’ll be working my way through it over the next couple of days so stay tuned.
Keep the comments coming in - I do appreciate them!
Love Dan.

We hooked up with Johnny from Halcyon for another collaborative shoot in the studio. Hair by Johnny, clothes by Pitbull Mansion. Thanks to Olivia and Chris for modelling for us. Here’s a sample of the results from the day:

Last weekend we hooked up with Alison from Halcyon Hair for a bit of a fashion shoot featuring her hair creations and some of the gear from Pitbull Mansion.
Enjoy!

My sister-in-law Gabrielle picked up first place in her category at last nights Tasmanian IHS Awards for her catwalk (hair) styling. I grabbed a few quick shots of Gerri, who modeled the style for Gabrielle before they left for the comp.

It was an all Scottish affair as a couple of clans descended into a magnificent private garden to celebrate Sarah and Ben’s wedding. The lads looked very dapper in their kilts and the bridesmaid’s elegant black complimented the stunning bride. All in all it was a fun and memorable day and we’re stoked to have been invited to help capture it.
Here’s a few shots that jumped out at first glance:

Another Sunday wedding! I love Sunday weddings! Emily and Japh were married in the gardens of the Cascade Visitors Centre and we had a great time sharing their day with them. I really enjoy relaxed garden weddings and this was no exception, the weather was perfect and everyone had a really great time. We created some really nice images and I’d love to share a selection with you. Have an awesome time overseas, guys!

Claire and Jon were married at St John’s, Richmond. The girls looked elegant and the guys looked sharp. Enough said! I’d like to wish Claire and Jon every happiness in their married life together and once again remind them just how jealous I am that they’re currently on their way to Hawaii. We had a great time with you guys, thanks for sharing your day with us! Here’s a sneak peek of the photos:

Another catch up blog post - I’m getting there!
Michelle and Lindo were married at the Japanese Gardens - what an amazing venue! These guys have been on an amazing global journey to get to this day and I was so stoked to see them so happy and excited to share their wedding with their friends and family. Guests travelled from all across the globe to share in the celebration and it was an awesome day as a result!
